Update: 28th November

Photos from the recent club expedition to the Red Sea are up.

Welcome! TASAC is a scuba diving club based in Croydon. We welcome everyone, from non-divers to the experienced. Fancy a try dive? Read on...

Who we are

We are a group of people of all ages who enjoy scuba diving! We’re a range of divers, from relative beginners up to instructors. We’re quite tightly-knit: we’re not a massive club, but we’re very friendly (we promise!) and welcome new members of all abilities, whether novice or expert.

The name TASAC refers to Trinity school; it is where we train, but also what we are affiliated with. Originally for old boys of the school and parents, we’re now open to all: many of our members have no connection to the school at all. Most of us came along because we knew someone who dived themselves and got hooked!

What we do

We dive! There are many types of diving – wreck diving, reef diving, cold water diving, warm water diving. Our club tends to dive both in Britain and abroad and every year we have a club holiday to warmer climates; we've done Malta, Egypt, Menorca, among other places. We dive many wrecks and reefs off the South coast and have also ventured to Lundy, Pembrokeshire and Plymouth in the past.

We are part of BSAC (the British Sub-Aqua Club), and we train all our divers in house. Free.

As part of the club organisation, we’re social. In addition to our weekly meetings, we have gatherings, such as curry nights, and regularly meet at The Sandrock after the weekly meet for a drink.

Try dives

Never dived before? (Or, have you done it before and want to give it another go?) Come along for a try dive! We’ll pair you up with a fully-qualified diver who’ll take care of you. Don’t worry if you’re nervous – we’ll do things at the pace you are comfortable with, and no faster. You’ll be able to see if diving is for you, and hopefully, you’ll enjoy blowing bubbles under water.

We provide all the kit you need. All you’ll need to bring is yourself, a towel and your swimming gear. Of course, if you have any of your own diving stuff (such as fins, snorkel and mask -- maybe you’ve done some snorkelling before), you're welcome to bring that along too!

Where we are

Our base is Trinity Sports Club’s swimming pool.

Besides the large 9.8 feet deep, 25 metre, 6-lane pool, we also have a large supply of club kit on-site which is free to use, along with an air compressor.

When we meet

We meet every Tuesday at the pool, at 9pm.
